Project: Progressive Field Location: Cleveland, Ohio Completion: March 2025 Hussey Product: LegendScope: Lower Bowl Seating Replacement — 30,000 Seats Designer(s): MANICA

Progressive Field has been home to Cleveland baseball since 1994, a ballpark woven into the fabric of a city. When the Cleveland Guardians embarked on Progressive Field Reimagined, a $202.5 million transformation of their historic home, they needed more than new seats. They needed a seating solution that could honor three decades of history while delivering a genuinely modern fan experience, and elevate the premium zones where it mattered most.

Hussey Seating delivered 30,000 chairs across the lower bowl, deploying two purpose-matched products across the bowl. The Legend™,  a classic seat for a classic ballpark, accounts for 26,000 of those chairs. Its detailed cast aluminum standards, customizable with an integral cast team logo, let the Guardians’ identity be built into the hardware. A wide range of custom color options brought the team’s bold palette directly into the seating bowl, with padded seat upgrades delivering premium comfort where needed.

For the 4,000 seats in the Club level and 100 level from dugout to dugout behind home plate, Hussey specified the Quattro Extreme™, the choice for the ballpark’s highest-demand premium zones. Built with solid cast aluminum stanchions, corrosion-resistant stainless-steel hardware, and UV- and mildew-resistant marine-grade materials, the Quattro Extreme delivers an upscale comfort experience engineered to last. Fully upholstered seating options and custom color and logo detailing give these prime sightline seats a finish worthy of their location.

Installed across multiple construction phases without missing a single Opening Day deadline, the project stands as a testament to what’s possible when the right product meets the right partner.

“We asked for new, modern, and relevant experiences that seamlessly blend into our facility’s historic design. We got it.” — Jim Folk, VP of Ballpark Operations, Cleveland Guardians Source: Mortenson Construction
