Hussey Seating Company Named a 2020 Best Place to Work in Maine

North Berwick, ME – For the second year in a row, Hussey Seating Company has been awarded the Best Places to Work in Maine designation for 2020. This year only 84 organizations across the state earned the title. The awards program was created in 2006 and is a project of the Society for Human Resource Management - Maine State Council (MESHRM) and Best Companies Group.

“The robust survey that our employees are given is a great way to evaluate where we need to focus our efforts. Analyzing the results ensures we are addressing areas for improvement in an ongoing manner. We view this survey process as a continuous improvement effort that we are committed to long-term,” said Rich Hussey, Director of HR at Hussey Seating and 6th generation family-owner.

Our employees participate in a feedback loop after the survey and actually work on the initiatives themselves while supported by management,” explained Merrill. Hussey Seating has implemented teams by functional areas to make recommendations for improvements as well as company-wide action plans to address issues highlighted by the survey.
