August 22, 2019 - North Berwick, Maine –“A business is only as a good as its people, and last week we lost one of the best,” said Gary Merrill, President and CEO of Hussey Seating Company. Chris Robinson, Director of Marketing and Communications at Hussey Seating Company since 2005 passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, he was 57 years old. “I know I can speak for the company and certainly our Marketing team that we are shocked and heartbroken for not only our Hussey Seating family but for Chris’s beloved wife Brigitte and his two children, Ian and Phoebe,” Merrill continued.
Chris began with Hussey Seating in 2005 as the Marketing Communications Manager and his communication skills, business acumen and dedication to quality quickly accelerated him through the ranks to become Director of Marketing and Communications. Prior to his career at Hussey Seating Chris owned and operated an ad agency, RMInteractive.
He was an integral member of many strategic initiatives and product development advancements. “Chris’s intelligence, innovative thinking, take charge attitude and leadership was only part of what made him such a valued team member. Those who knew him best will remember his kindness, his unwavering support for his employees, and his many ‘Proud Dad’ stories. He was endlessly proud of his children and spoke often about their many accomplishments.” said Sean O’Leary, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Chris lived life to the fullest in all aspects. Doing anything ‘halfway’ was not an option whether it was his life as a musician, entrepreneur, boat enthusiast, colleague, father, husband and friend. He had a larger than life personality and befriended many at Hussey Seating Company and throughout Hussey Seating’s exclusive dealer network.
