Spectator Seating – the latest vehicle for your brand’s “product placement”

The new Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY is now officially open and they’ve been doing some exciting things with their sponsors. They’ve partnered with fashion house Calvin Klein to create a truly unique VIP guest experience - what arena officials are calling a “street to seat immersion in the brand,” and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of it (especially the fashionistas in the office)!

Calvin Klein is sponsoring the “Calvin Klein Courtside Club”, a 700-seat VIP courtside seating area outfitted with premium Clarin by Hussey Seating logo chairs. Not only are these portable seats adorned with the oh-so-recognizable Calvin Klein logo, but guests will also enter through the Calvin Klein gate, ride a Calvin Klein branded elevator before arriving to the Calvin Klein Courtside Club. Talk about a complete branding experience!

Our master of portable seating, otherwise known as Steve Luttazi, worked closely with the Barclays Center to maximize sponsorship opportunities and ensure that every portable seating style and configuration that the venue needed was taken care of. In the end, Barclay’s ordered 3,107 folding chairs consisting of Calvin Klein Premium Series VIP and Contour logo chairs, Red Bull VIP logo chairs, Haier VIP logo chairs, 2,100 model 4400 chairs and 120 plain VIP chairs with cup holder arms for ADA seating throughout the venue.

Steve will tell you that the Clarin by Hussey Seating model VIP chairs are mostly used for VIP guests in the front rows of a sporting event – courtside at the Nets games, ringside at a boxing match - with the comfy Contour chairs closely behind. For high capacity floor seating events like concerts, the model 4400 is the popular choice.

Need help choosing the right portable folding chairs for your venue? Steve Luttazi is your guy!
