General Description of the Position:
This person is the conduit between our internal operations. The Account Representative coordinates the flow and accuracy of information for all quotes and sales order from the time a new quote is requested, submitted, the order is entered, manufactured, installed, through end of warranty period. The Representative is expected to excercise independent judgement in this position to support Company values and achieve customer satisfaction.
Candidate’s primary responsibilities include the following:
- Provide a central point of contact for all pre and post-sale communications to customers, Engineering, Scheduling, Manufacturing, Planning and other departments as needed.
- Project manage all orders through the Order Fulfillment process. Work closely with Master Scheduler to determine appropriate ship date, balancing customer needs with internal capacity. Proactively manage all schedule milestone dates on sales orders to ensure the process flows smoothly and the product ships on-time. Ensure that submittal drawings are sent out on time, and finish, field check, and approvals are received in full and on time by the customer. Push information to and pull information from customers to maintain project schedules.
- Manage inquiries for product information, change orders, milestone information, guaranteed repairs, back charges and returned goods authorizations. This will require the use of effective communication skills, knowledge of business processes, product knowledge, and the capability to make good business decisions in accordance with Company policy.
- Research, investigate and negotiate, if necessary, back charge requests from customers relative to expense incurred due to Company error. Must be able to make good business decisions in accordance with Company policy related to the expenditure of Company funds and have the ability to effectively negotiate a fair resolution to issues within the defined parameters.
- Serve as the sole contact with customers for all pre and post-shipment issues. Interface with Engineering, Master Scheduler, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Sales to communicate customer concerns and product issues .
The Ideal Candidate should possess these qualifications/skills:
- Prior Account Rep experience with a manufactured product.
- Project Management skills and an understanding of common construction project processes (Quotes, PO's, Change Orders, Back Charges, Return Goods Authorization, Warranty, etc.).
- 2 year technical degree in Architectural Design and Drafting, Project Management, Construction Management or similare degree or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to quickly gain a technical understanding of configured product lines.
- Ability to be self-directed and organize/prioritize work in a fast paced environment.
- Strong personal commitment to meeting customer requirements while working in accordance with Company policies.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Flexible to priority changes and work hours needed to meet customer requirements.
- Computer skills- ERP (IFS), Word, Excel, AutoCAD
- Knowledge of drafting principles, design techniques, and blueprint reading.
